Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer Patrol Driver in Richmond, VA. You will provide customer service, perform routine patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents while maintaining a visible security presence across retail areas and parking zones.

The role emphasizes flexibility with a schedule including weekends. A valid driver's license and background check are required; the pay rate is $18.25 per hour with potential growth through our shift-claim platform.

Qualifications

• Comfort using a computer or tablet for reporting and communications.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation is required by law and company policy.
• Drug screen required as a condition of employment; licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents and disturbances calmly and follow established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail areas, storefronts, parking areas, and perimeters.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions or policy violations to site leadership.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and logs as required by the site.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.25 / Hour

Job Schedule: Sat 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM, Sun 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and communicating with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to site leadership and/or appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain detailed logs of incidents, patrols, and security-related activities in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
