Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Part Time Security Officer for a Mall in Boston, MA. Saturday and Sunday shifts are 12:00 PM to 6:30 PM, with starting pay at $23.00 per hour plus paid orientation and training.

You will provide customer service to tenants and visitors, conduct patrols, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of security‑related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or clients while following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols in commercial real estate buildings and adjacent areas to identify unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and emergencies in a calm, professional manner.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; report observations through required documentation.
• Support a professional environment by staying aware of site activity and contacting appropriate personnel when needed.

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 12:00 PM - 06:30 PM
• Sun: 12:00 PM - 06:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or clients while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout commercial real estate buildings, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity or property conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following site‑specific procedures.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, communicate professionally with building occupants and management, and report security‑related observations through required documentation.
• Support a professional environment by maintaining awareness of site activity and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security‑related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
