As a **Security Officer - Retail Location** in **Central Valley, NY** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence for visitors and staff. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, assisting with access control, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication. You will work as part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, always putting people first and acting with integrity in every interaction.

**Position Type: Part Time**

**Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour**

**Job Schedule:**

**Day** **Time**

Tue10:00 AM - 06:30 PM

Wed10:00 AM - 06:30 PM

Thur10:00 AM - 06:30 PM

**Responsibilities:**

+ Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.

+ Observe and report any suspicious behavior or security-related incidents within the retail environment.

+ Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points as required by site policies.

+ Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members regarding security-related matters.

+ Support emergency response activities according to established protocols for the retail location.

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ A valid Guard Card or security license is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.

+ Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ New York Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
