Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Retail Foot Patrol in Los Angeles, CA. You will patrol and monitor a commercial property, deter security incidents, assist tenants and visitors, and maintain a welcoming environment.

Required at least 2 years in security with a high school diploma; a guard card/license is preferred. Work schedule includes DayTime shifts with multiple 12:00 PM–08:00 PM slots; compensation is $23.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Guard card/license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property areas including interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, report unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents calmly and document observations and actions per site requirements.
• Maintain a professional presence and communicate with tenants, visitors, and leadership.

As a Security Officer Retail Foot Patrol in LOS ANGELES, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. You will respond to concerns, communicate professionally, and deliver service with integrity and teamwork in a caring, reliable, and innovative culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property areas, including building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required by site procedures, and report unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and actions in accordance with site requirements.
• Maintain a professional presence while communicating clearly with tenants, visitors, property management, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
