Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer (Unarmed) in Los Angeles, CA. You will conduct unarmed patrols, provide exceptional customer service, and respond to incidents at a premier commercial property. Pay rate is $21.17 per hour with Sat/Sun 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM shifts. Minimum 18+ for unarmed roles, high school diploma, and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Background check and drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property personnel during site-specific procedures and emergencies.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of interior/exterior areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally following site protocols.
• Observe and report security concerns, maintenance issues, suspicious activity, and policy violations.
• Complete activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications accurately.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.17 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Observe and report security-related concerns, maintenance issues, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications accurately and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
