Job summary

Responsibilities

• Help patrol client facilities and prevent safety hazards, theft, violence, or other infractions before they occur; respond to emergencies, investigate disturbances, and help ensure safety and security of people and property.
• Must be capable of conducting foot patrols outdoors and standing for extended periods while exposed to all weather conditions.
• Assist with routines to ensure client site security and smooth operations.
• Read and understand operating procedures and instructions.

Responsibilities / Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner; must be able to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines
• Must have one-year Security Officer experience
• Must have a valid/current State of Texas Non-Commissioned Level II Unarmed Security License
• Must be able to frequently prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting
• Must be able to read and understand all operating procedures and instructions
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test, may be required to pass Drivers Record check
• Advanced computer skills to utilize access control technology at client sites
• Ability to handle both common and crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
• Help patrol client facilities and prevent safety hazards, theft, violence, or other infractions before they occur; respond to emergencies, investigate disturbances, and help ensure the safety and security of people and property
• Must be capable of conducting foot patrols outdoors and standing for extended periods while exposed to all weather conditions

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have one-year Security Officer experience
• Must have a valid/current State of Texas Non-Commissioned Level II Unarmed Security License
• Must have open availability
• Security or related work experience with a solid understanding of the security industry and contract security services
• Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
• Able to work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow, or heat
• Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
