Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Retail in Aurora, CO to protect shoppers and staff at a busy retail location. You will perform unarmed patrols, assist visitors, and uphold site policies while delivering excellent customer service.

Position is full-time with DayTime schedules. Pay rate is $21.25 per hour, with duties including incident response, logs, and reporting. Allied Universal emphasizes integrity, teamwork, and community safety.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to site management and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations, to help deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
