You will monitor a retail and mall location, deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service while upholding site policies and communicating with visitors, tenants, and staff.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as per federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements per state/local laws; may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner and report observations to site management or responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the retail property, including common areas and parking areas, to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting suspicious behavior or policy violations per site procedures.
• Complete activity logs and incident reports accurately and timely.

As a Security Officer Retail in Aurora, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail and mall location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service. You will communicate professionally with visitors, tenants, and staff while supporting a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $21.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM
• Thur 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM
• Fri 11:0 AM - 07:00 PM
• Sat 11:00 AM - 07:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to site management and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations, to help deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
