Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Reception at our Chicopee, MA location. You will greet visitors, manage access control, verify credentials, and deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining a professional presence.

The role requires compliance with site procedures, attention to safety, and readiness to respond to security concerns. Full-time hours with a daytime/evening schedule are included.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge handling experience preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check as per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• State/local licensing may be required.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions.

As a Security Officer Reception Security in Chicopee, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at a retail location, you will welcome visitors, manage access control, verify credentials, and provide outstanding customer service. You will maintain a professional presence, respond to security-related concerns, and support a welcoming environment for employees and guests. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, front desk policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Greet and direct visitors, manage access in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor and delivery records.
• Answer incoming calls, provide general information, and communicate professionally with site personnel, vendors, and emergency responders.
• Monitor front desk activity, report suspicious activity, incidents, and maintenance concerns, and respond to critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Support a professional retail environment by helping to deter unauthorized access and escalating security-related concerns according to site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
