Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Front Office in Boston, MA. You will welcome visitors, manage access, monitor entry activity, and respond to security concerns with professionalism while delivering excellent customer service.

This full-time role offers a daytime to evening schedule with a pay rate of $24.00 per hour. Requirements include at least one year of security experience and a high school diploma; a background check is required and a valid driver’s license may be required

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and vendors by following site-specific procedures, access requirements, and reception protocols at a healthcare location.
• Staff the front desk, greet and direct visitors, verify identification and authorization, and maintain visitor logs and sign-in records.
• Monitor entry activity, respond to access concerns, and communicate security-related issues to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations calmly and in line with emergency procedures.
• Answer calls, provide information and directions, and support a professional front-desk environment.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and vendors by following site-specific procedures, access requirements, and reception protocols at a healthcare location.
• Staff the front desk, greet and direct visitors, verify identification and authorization as required, and maintain accurate visitor logs and/or sign-in records.
• Monitor entry activity, respond to access concerns, and communicate security-related issues or unusual conditions to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Answer telephone calls, provide general information and directions, and support a professional, welcoming front-desk environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
