Allied Universal in San Diego, CA is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to join our aerospace/defense site. This role offers reliable, anchor shifts with the flexibility to pick up extra shifts via our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $24.61 per hour. You will greet and screen visitors, enforce access procedures, monitor security systems, and coordinate with site contacts while maintaining a professional reception environment.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required.
• Drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service at a front desk within an aerospace and defense location by following site‑specific security‑related procedures, visitor protocols, and access requirements.
• Greet, screen, and direct employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel; verify credentials and maintain accurate visitor records in accordance with site policies.
• Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, and other security‑related systems from a stationary post; report irregularities or unauthorized access attempts to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Maintain clear communication with site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency services as needed while protecting sensitive information and supporting a professional reception environment.

As a Security Officer Reception in San Diego, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $24.61 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service at a front desk within an aerospace and defense location by following site‑specific security‑related procedures, visitor protocols, and access requirements.
• Greet, screen, and direct employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel; verify credentials and maintain accurate visitor records in accordance with site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
