Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – PT Patrol in Augusta, GA to safeguard clients across campus settings and surrounding facilities. As a Part-Time Officer, you’ll perform routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and provide professional customer service to students, staff and visitors.

You’ll observe and report unusual activity, respond to concerns, and support emergency responses with clear communication, using our shift-claim platform to build a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures and policies, and/or coordinating emergency response activities when needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, assistance requests, and notifications to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and common areas during patrols, verifying identification and/or authorization as required and directing visitors to appropriate locations.
• Complete detailed reports on patrols, incidents, and unusual observations, and communicate relevant updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
