MercyOne Health System seeks a Security Officer for MercyOne Genesis in the Quad Cities area. You will provide a visible security presence to prevent or detect threats and safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and assets.

This part-time role requires a valid driver’s license, Basic Life Support and CPI within 60 days, and a high school diploma. Schedule includes every Saturday and Sunday, every other Monday day/night shifts, and holiday coverage.

As a Security Officer at MercyOne, you will provide a physical presence for the purpose of prevention and/or detection of adverse conditions which would place the safety and security of the hospital environment at risk while protecting welfare of patients, visitors, staff and facility assets.

Interaction is with a variety of people inside or outside the organization. Communications are often difficult or stressful in nature. Contact with others involves complex, detailed and often sensitive topics. The job requires a high degree of interpersonal skills to deal with a range of complicated problem situations. Interactions involve gaining the agreement of others.

Schedule:

• Every Saturday and Sunday, every other Monday day/night shifts and holiday requirements.

General Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s License

Pay Range: $18.25 - $27.37

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
