Job summary

Trinity Health in Silvis, IL, is seeking a part-time Security Officer to provide a visible security presence for patient, visitor and staff safety. The role covers day shifts on weekends with alternating Monday scheduling, protecting hospital assets and surroundings.

Required: valid driver’s license, Basic Life Support and CPI within 60 days, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Pay range is $18.25–$27.37 hourly, with full benefits and growth opportunities within the system.

We are looking to hire a Security Officer. As a Security Officer at MercyOne, you will provide a physical presence for the purpose of prevention and/or detection of adverse conditions which would place the safety and security of the hospital environment at risk while protecting welfare of patients, visitors, staff and facility assets. Interaction is with a variety of people inside or outside the organization. Communications are often difficult or stressful in nature. Contact with others involves complex, detailed and often sensitive topics. The job requires a high degree of interpersonal skills to deal with a range of complicated problem situations. Interactions involve gaining the agreement of others.

Schedule

• Every Saturday and Sunday
• Every other Monday day/night shifts and holiday requirements

General Requirements

Compensation

Pay Range: $18.25 - $27.37. Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
