Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a vigilant Security Officer to protect residents and property through patrols, incident response, and secure access control. You will document events, support emergency procedures, and maintain safety logs to ensure a secure environment for residents, guests, and staff.

The role requires a HS Diploma/GED, 18+ years of age, and strong communication and multitasking abilities. A valid license and prior security experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED; age 18+.
• 2+ years related security experience preferred.
• Strong judgment and decision-making skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Valid driver’s license (if required).

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols of buildings, grounds, and parking areas.
• Inspect doors, windows, gates, and access points.
• Respond to alarms, security calls, and on-site emergencies.
• Investigate and document incidents or suspicious activity.
• Complete daily Security Logs and incident reports.
• Monitor fire safety, hazards, and unsecured areas.
• Assist with emergency response procedures.
• Escort residents and team members after hours.
• Support OSHA and infection control compliance.
• Secure and unlock areas per policy.
