Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Bethesda, MD seeks a Security Officer to help maintain a safe environment for residents, guests and staff. You’ll patrol buildings, inspect access points, respond to alarms, and document incidents in daily logs.

Requirements include HS diploma or GED (18+), 2+ years of security-related experience preferred, strong judgment, clear communication, and a valid driver's license if required. Benefits include medical, retirement, PTO and more.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED; age 18+.
• 2+ years related security experience preferred.
• Strong judgment and decision-making skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Valid driver’s license (if required).

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols of buildings, grounds and parking areas.
• Inspect doors, windows, gates, and access points.
• Respond to alarms, security calls and on-site emergencies.
• Investigate and document incidents or suspicious activity.
• Complete daily Security Logs and incident reports.
• Monitor fire safety, hazards and unsecured areas.
• Escort residents and team members after hours.
• Support OSHA and infection control compliance.
