Job summary

Virtua Health System seeks a trained security officer to safeguard facilities, staff, and visitors. You will conduct patrols, perform weapon screening, monitor alarms and cameras, and enforce policy while delivering excellent customer service.

Requirements include a HS diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to respond calmly in emergencies. SORA certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2 years of security experience preferred.
• Ability to stay levelheaded and respond quickly in stressful situations.
• Proficient written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform patrols and security rounds on assigned posts, including mobile, walking, and stationary duties.
• Monitor doors, surveillance cameras, and alarms as part of access and safety control.
• Use hospital systems to manage visitor control, weapon screening with handheld wands, and EVOLV weapon screening system.
