Job summary

Confidential is seeking a Security Officer to deliver on-site security and protective services for a private residence in the greater Los Angeles area. The role may extend to other locations as needed, with emphasis on discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment.

The position requires a Guard Card, Exposed Firearm Permit, and possibly a CA Concealed Carry/LEOSA credential, plus a valid driver's license and CPR/AED certification.

Qualifications

• Prior military, law enforcement, executive protection, or residential security experience preferred.
• Must meet applicable California BSIS requirements, including a current Guard Card and Exposed Firearm Permit.
• Must possess a valid California Concealed Carry Weapons permit or LEOSA credentials.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and have an excellent driving record.
• Familiarity with roads, highways, and surrounding communities throughout the greater Los Angeles area.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine foot patrols of the property and surrounding grounds at regular intervals.
• Monitor security cameras, alarm systems, and other residential security systems.
• Help prevent unauthorized access, trespassing, theft, and other security concerns.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for residents, guests, and authorized personnel.
• Serve as an initial responder during emergency situations, render assistance within the scope of training, contact emergency services as appropriate, and administer CPR, AED, or first aid when necessary.
• Provide secure transportation to and from appointments, meetings, events, and other locations as needed.
• Provide security support at private events, both at the primary residence and at off-site locations.
• Maintain appropriate grooming, dress, and professional conduct standards.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills, situational awareness, discretion, and a service-oriented approach.

Experience & Credentials

• Prior military, law enforcement, executive protection, or residential security experience preferred.
• Must meet applicable State of California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services requirements, including a current Guard Card and Exposed Firearm Permit.
• Must possess a valid California Concealed Carry Weapons permit or current LEOSA (HR 218) credentials, as applicable.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have an excellent driving record.
• Familiarity with roads, highways, and surrounding communities throughout the greater Los Angeles area.

Physical & Scheduling Requirements

• Must be CPR/AED certified or able to obtain certification.
• Must be able to perform CPR, operate an AED, and administer basic first aid within the scope of training.
• Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods.
• Ability to sprint, bend, squat, and lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely operate designated motor vehicles.
• Ability to work long and irregular hours, including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also collaborating effectively with other security personnel.
