Job summary

FAIRMONT is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to safeguard guests and staff at our hotel. You will provide security, emergency and first aid support, enforce safety policies, and guide colleagues on security procedures, including training new officers.

Responsibilities include documenting incidents, managing Lost & Found, and conducting patrols to ensure a secure environment for all. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred, with a Hawaii Guard Card or equivalent where applicable.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Security, law enforcement, and/or loss prevention experience is an asset.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

As a Security Officer, your attentiveness, efficiency and commitment will ensure your hotel remains a safe, enjoyable workplace and travel destination.

Hourly Rate: $29.93

Shift: Overnight shifts

What you will be doing:

• Provide security, emergency, and first aid assistance
• Implement, as directed by the Security Manager, all policies and programs related to Security Services
• Guide and support all leaders and colleagues with respect to safety & security procedures
• Educate all new Fairmont colleagues on safety & security
• Assist in the training of all new security officers
• Create and maintain proper documentation on any incidents reported by guests or colleagues
• Ensure adherence to Lost & Found procedures including accepting items with proper documentation, assisting colleagues & guests with inquiries, maintaining accurate logs and following retention guidelines.
• Investigate and follow up on any reports made by guests or colleagues
• Review the business continuity plan with the security manager and ensure that all updates are communicated to colleagues, and that all necessary training is provided
• Conduct lock interrogations and assist Engineering Department with lock repairs
• Conduct foot and vehicle patrols

Schedule:

Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees are required to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate the business and demands of the hotel.
