Job summary

SecTek, Inc. in Pikesville, MD seeks a diligent security officer to perform indoor patrols and outdoor movements between adjacent buildings. The role requires following SOPs, promptly escalating issues to security and management, and ensuring all areas are secure, with extended periods of standing and walking.

Candidates should hold a high school diploma or equivalent and MD Guard Card certification, and report to the Operations Manager. The position is full-time in a security-operated facility.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Follow prescribed Standard Operating Procedures for basic and emergency responses.
• Liaise with security and building management to communicate, escalate, and solve problems.
• Patrol indoor buildings, check for damage, leaks, and secure bathrooms.
• Perform extensive walking and post patrols, incl. stairs, with standing/walking for long periods.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions while moving between buildings.

Following prescribed Standard Operating Procedures for basic and emergency responses

Liaising with security and building management to communicate, escalate, and solve problems

Indoor patrol of buildings (only) checking for physical damage, water damage, leaking pipes, bathrooms secure

Extensive walking (down stairs only) and scanning check points

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (not standing outdoors; just walking from building to building next door)

Two Post: Stationary watch from the Security Desk switch off every hour to conduct an extensive foot patrol using phone software and check points

Alternate between Post at receptions, and very extensive patrols using many Light House check points
