Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a Pharmaceutical Building Patrol in Gaithersburg, MD. You will monitor and patrol healthcare locations, deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.

You will respond to alarms, manage access points, and document incidents with attention to site-specific procedures and safety protocols. A strong, professional presence and teamwork are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or vendors at a healthcare research and pharmaceutical location while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, laboratories, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site policies, documenting observations and escalating concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation while maintaining a professional presence consistent with Allied Universal standards.

• Thur 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM
