Allied Universal is seeking a Full Time Security Officer for an Access Control / Driving position at a pharmaceutical facility in Swiftwater, PA. You will monitor access, patrol the site, and provide exceptional customer service while upholding security procedures.

The role requires driving responsibilities, a valid license, and experience with access control systems. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred. Shifts include nights with frequent on-call duties as part of a dedicated security team.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a healthcare/pharmaceutical location, following site procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of interiors, exteriors, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials; report access concerns or policy violations.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; follow post orders and escalation procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security concerns in required reports/logs.

Pay Rate: $18.73 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Tue: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Wed: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

Candidates must meet the following pre-employment requirements before being considered for employment:

1. Security Experience

   • Candidates must have a minimum of one year of relevant security experience (C115). This experience should demonstrate the ability to handle security-related tasks and responsibilities effectively.

2. Valid Driver's License

   • Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license in accordance with the AU Driver Policy Requirements (C123). This is essential for roles that require travel or transportation as part of job duties.

3. Access Control/Badge Experience

   • Candidates should have experience with access control systems and badge management (B201). Familiarity with these systems is crucial for maintaining security protocols within the organization.

4. Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet

   • Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in using computers or tablets (B204). This includes the ability to navigate software applications and perform necessary tasks efficiently.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a healthcare and pharmaceutical location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report access concerns or policy violations to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and established escalation procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns accurately in required reports and logs.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
