Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for perimeter patrol in South Portland, ME. You will provide customer service to employees and visitors, monitor access points, and conduct routine patrols of the distribution facility.

This role offers flexible scheduling via our Claim a Shift platform, with a pay rate of $22.28 per hour. Minimum requirements include 18+, high school diploma, background check, and drug screening; driving license only for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors while following site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the distribution facility, warehouse areas, exterior perimeter, parking areas, access points, and loading docks.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations with calm, professional problem-solving; prepare accurate reports.
• Help deter unauthorized access, theft, and other security concerns through a visible presence and timely reporting.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the distribution facility, warehouse areas, exterior perimeter, parking areas, access points, and loading docks.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and preparing accurate reports.
• Help to deter unauthorized access, theft, and other security-related concerns through visible presence, observation, and timely reporting.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
