Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Norwalk, CT. This role offers fixed shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts through the scheduling platform to increase earnings, up to 40 hours per week.

A six-month anchor shift commitment is required at a designated site. Responsibilities include providing customer service to tenants and staff, responding to incidents, conducting patrols, monitoring access points, and preparing daily reports.

Qualifications

• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Criminal histories considered in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and adjust to emergencies following escalation/reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the property and surrounding areas.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting issues to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation per site requirements.

As a Security Officer Perimeter Patrol in Norwalk, CT, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property common areas, parking areas, building perimeters, and other assigned locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and security‑related issues to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation in accordance with site requirements and Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
