Nashoba Valley Medical Center has an opening for a Per Diem Security Officer

Job Summary: Under the general direction of the Security Manager, the Security Officer protects the life and property of all persons on hospital premises and patrols hospital buildings and grounds to prevent fire, theft, and vandalism. The Security Officer secures, unlocks, and protects hospital buildings. Responds to security needs of hospital personnel, patients, and visitors. Participates in performance improvement activities.

Job Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Experience: Two to five (2-5) years of experience in law enforcement, security operations, or related fields is required. Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Certification/Licensure: A current Basic Life Support (CPR) certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association, or a CPI certification is preferred.
• Other: Must be able to successfully clear a background check, including a criminal search. Use or possession of a firearm or other weapons is prohibited.
