Job summary

Allied Universal in East Hartford, CT is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Patrol with Active Clearance. You will monitor facilities, perform regular patrols, and maintain a visible security presence to deter incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires an active DoD Secret Clearance, strong access control and reporting skills, and the ability to work a set daytime schedule including weekends.

Qualifications

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, exterior areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site-specific access control procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established reporting channels.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
