Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer in West Warwick, RI to monitor and safeguard clients at a telecommunications/media location. You will provide courteous customer service, perform patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents.

Pay rate is $16.50 per hour. Schedule includes Mon and Tue nights 11:00 PM–07:00 AM, with opportunities to earn more through our shift-claiming platform.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a telecommunications and media location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, service calls, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, parking areas, building entrances, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, property concerns, and security-related incidents to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with site-specific policies.
