Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Patrol Security Clearance in California, MD. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, deter incidents, and provide professional customer service.

The role requires at least one year of security experience, an active DoD Secret Clearance, and being 21 or older. Pay is $26.92 per hour with day/overnight shifts and access to the Claim a Shift platform.

Qualifications

• A background investigation may be conducted as per laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents and security concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner per reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common spaces, entry points, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials as directed; report unusual conditions.
• Prepare accurate logs, incident reports, and shift documentation.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, including offices, common spaces, entry points, and the facility perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
