Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer full-time unarmed patrol operations in Mountain View, CA. You will monitor sites, deter incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a visible presence.

Role requires reliability, two years of security experience, and ability to follow procedures. Full-time schedule with a steady weekday/ weekend rotation and a pay rate of $28.60 per hour.

Qualifications

• Two years of security-related experience.
• Ability to use a computer or tablet.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation and drug screen as required by law.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, access concerns, and/or hazards.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and delivery authorization in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and promptly using required reporting tools.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
