Allied Universal is seeking an Security Officer Patrol Risk Mitigation in Houston, TX. The role involves serving healthcare locations, conducting patrols, monitoring access points, and responding to incidents with a customer-service mindset.

You will work as part of a team on a full-time schedule with an hourly pay rate of $17.50, supporting safety and security across hospital and lab environments.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing where applicable.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff at a healthcare and laboratory location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or access concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to maintain controlled entry to laboratory and healthcare-related areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document and communicate observations according to site protocols.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation while maintaining a professional presence and following Allied Universal and site requirements.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
