As a Security Officer Patrol Response in Harrisburg, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a government transportation location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security‑related incidents, and support travelers, visitors, and staff with outstanding customer service and communication.

Pay Rate: $19.98 / Hour

Job Schedule

DayTime: Mon 08:00 PM – 05:00 AM; Tue 08:00 PM – 05:00 AM; Wed 08:00 PM – 05:00 AM; Sun 08:00 PM – 05:00 AM

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout stations, platforms, public areas, office spaces, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points, observe pedestrian traffic, and report suspicious behavior, unattended items, and/or maintenance concerns according to site protocols.
• Support order at a government location by assisting with directions, crowd management, and/or de‑escalation during high‑traffic periods, service disruptions, or special events.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 6 months of security‑related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
