Job summary

Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer Patrol Prevention in Johnston, RI. As a Part-Time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols, deter incidents, and provide courteous customer service. Pay rate is $18.18 per hour.

Schedule: Daytime with Wed/Thu 02:00 AM - 10:00 AM. You will report incidents, monitor access points, and document patrols and concerns.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation.
• Drug screen required where law allows.
• Licensing requirements may apply; driving positions require a valid license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeters to deter incidents.
• Monitor access points and observe movement of personnel, vehicles, and freight-related activity per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a calm, professional manner and notify site contacts or responders.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and concerns accurately and timely.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, building perimeters, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe the movement of personnel, vehicles, and freight-related activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns accurately and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
