Allied Universal in Minneapolis, MN, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to patrol unarmed locations, monitor access points, and provide excellent customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors. You will respond to incidents and prepare precise reports while maintaining a visible security presence.

The role requires at least 1 year of security experience, with a preference for customer service, badge access familiarity, and comfort with computers or tablets.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, vehicle, and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Pay Rate: $26.01 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat — 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sun — 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
