Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer in Northport, AL. You will provide patient, visitor, and staff support, conduct unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents with professional communication.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, patient or visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and support visitor management procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with site personnel, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
