Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Patrol Operations in Mount Vernon, WA. The role involves safeguarding clients across various industries at a government location, conducting routine unarmed patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and responding professionally to security concerns.

You will communicate effectively, document incidents, and support a welcoming, secure environment for visitors and staff. The position is full-time with a daytime schedule and hourly pay of $22.00.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, passenger areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, property damage, hazards, and policy violations; prepare clear and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and adherence to facility rules while maintaining a courteous and professional presence.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure, welcoming environment for visitors and staff. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
