Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an educational location in Paterson, NJ. You will perform routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors.

The role requires professional communication, adherence to site policies, and timely reporting of incidents.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsabilités

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and families while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor activity, and follow established visitor-management and access-control procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate school personnel and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs in accordance with site procedures.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 07:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Tue 07:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Wed 07:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Thur 07:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
