Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Full Time Security Officer in Greencastle, IN. The role pays $18.50 per hour and includes day and night shifts at a commercial location.

You will provide customer service to tenants and visitors, monitor access points, and respond to incidents. CPR and badge experience are preferred; 18+ years old; background check and drug screen are required where permitted.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation as required by law.
• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be needed; state/local rules apply.
• Access control/badge experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly; follow emergency procedures.
• Prepare clear incident reports and communicate information to leadership.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a commercial real estate location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building interiors, parking areas, common spaces, loading zones, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures; report access concerns and suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures and contacting emergency services when directed.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
