Job summary

Allied Universal in Memphis, TN is seeking a Part Time Security Officer Patrol Emergency Readiness to protect clients across retail locations and other sites. You will patrol, deter incidents, and provide a welcoming environment while maintaining a visible security presence.

This role offers a flexible schedule (Mon, Sat, Sun; afternoons) with pay at $18.00 per hour, plus training and opportunities for career growth in a supportive, team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment; a valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter spaces.
• Monitor access points and observe activity to deter unauthorized entry, theft, and other security concerns.
• Document and report incidents, hazards, and unusual activity per site procedures.

• Mon 03:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• Sat 03:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• Sun 03:00 PM - 10:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Document and report incidents, hazards, and unusual activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
