• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations and concerns to leadership per procedures.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while coordinating with hospital personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, assisting with access control and directing individuals to appropriate hospital locations.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site management in accordance with established procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess a valid Armed Guard Card or License.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
