Responsibilities

• Monitor access points and verify visitor/vehicle entry per site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies; notify site contacts and responders as needed.
• Document patrols and incidents accurately in reports and shift logs.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver in Lafayette, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points and security-related activity, and remain visible to help deter incidents. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with site personnel, and support a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, office spaces, parking areas, loading docks, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and vehicle entry in accordance with site requirements; assist with directing authorized personnel to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately in required reports and shift logs.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
