Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Driver Badge Verification in Lafayette, IN. You will protect campus facilities, monitor access points, and deter incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

This full-time role requires a valid driver’s license, ability to work a driving post, and strong communication with staff and authorities. Training and growth opportunities are offered as part of a comprehensive benefits program.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Experience with access control and badges is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; report unusual conditions or unauthorized access attempts.
• Respond to incidents calmly, document observations, and complete required reports.
• Communicate professionally with campus stakeholders, law enforcement, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Badge Verification in Lafayette, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at an education location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors, and support access-control activities. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, reporting unusual conditions or unauthorized access attempts to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and completing required reports.
• Communicate professionally with campus stakeholders, law enforcement, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badges is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
