Allied Universal, Lafayette, IN, is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Driver Badge Verification to safeguard students and staff at an education location. This unarmed role requires patrolling buildings, monitoring access points, and delivering strong customer service.

You will report incidents, communicate with campus stakeholders and follow site procedures. A valid driver’s license is required, and a high school diploma or equivalent is expected.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badges is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, reporting unusual conditions or unauthorized access attempts to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and completing required reports.
• Communicate professionally with campus stakeholders, law enforcement, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
