Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Response Patrol Driver in Columbus, OH to serve retail clients and deter theft while delivering outstanding customer service.

This unarmed patrol role requires a valid driver’s license, strong communication, and the ability to work closely with store teams; CPR/First Aid is preferred and driving duties are central to the post.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Subject to background checks and drug screening.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store associates by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols throughout retail areas to deter theft and unauthorized access.
• Monitor activity and report suspicious behavior or hazards to site contacts.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow site protocols; notify emergency services when appropriate.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities in reports and logs.

As a Security Officer Full Time Response Patrol Driver in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

• Tue: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Wed: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thur: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail sales areas, entrances, stockroom-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help to deter theft and unauthorized access.
• Monitor customer and employee activity, access points, and assigned areas; report suspicious behavior, policy concerns, and maintenance hazards to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying emergency services and/or management when appropriate.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately in required reports and logs.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
