Job Description

As a Security Officer – Patrol and Access Control in Jonestown, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal Patrol Unarmed Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that may help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and badge checks, respond to service requests, and communicate clearly with team members and site personnel. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of warehouse, distribution, yard, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and driver activity in accordance with location requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating to location management and/or emergency services as needed.
• Complete detailed reports on patrols, observations, and incidents, and communicate notable conditions to oncoming personnel and/or supervisors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
