Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Customer Service in Plainfield, IN. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service to employees and visitors.

Daytime shifts, with a schedule from 5:30 AM to 1:30 PM on weekdays. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and a background check plus drug screen as part of employment.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of technology operations areas, offices, parking areas, and the perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain access-related records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and communicate observations to site contacts and leadership.
• Complete activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications per procedures.

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of technology operations areas, offices, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with site and Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
