Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Access Patrol in Plainfield, IN, to safeguard clients across tech/media/telecom sectors. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, manage access, and provide exceptional customer service, joining a team guided by integrity and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees and visitors at a technology location per site policies and emergencies when needed.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of office areas, data or equipment spaces, and perimeter to report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials according to site procedures; document visitors and incidents accurately.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; escalate to appropriate personnel and responders when needed.
• Communicate security observations and daily activity professionally with site contacts and leadership.

As a Security Officer Unarmed Access Patrol in Plainfield, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, manage access control, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, data or equipment spaces, loading areas, parking facilities, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Communicate professionally with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related observations, policy concerns, and daily activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
