Allied Universal in Providence, RI is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Coordinator to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the option to pick up additional shifts. Pay rate is $19.00 per hour with a schedule of Daytime Saturdays and Sundays 5:00 PM–10:15 PM.

This role features fixed anchor shifts and the Earn‑A‑Shift program to boost earnings across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check, drug screen, and licensing as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents calmly and handle emergencies, disturbances, and theft-related activity.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of store areas, entrances/exits, parking, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor activity, report unusual conditions or policy violations, and document incidents per site procedures.
• Maintain a professional presence when communicating with staff, customers, and local responders.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Coordinator in Providence, RI, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSat05:00 PM - 10:15 PMSun05:00 PM - 10:15 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail pharmacy location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including requests for assistance, medical emergencies, disturbances, and suspected theft‑related activity.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, entrance and exit areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor customer and employee activity, report unusual conditions or policy violations, and document incidents in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain a professional presence while communicating with store personnel, customers, and local emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess supervisory experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
