Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer for Patrol Badge Verification in Hartford, CT. You will perform unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and support badge access activities while delivering excellent customer service using tablet tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of law enforcement or 2+ years security supervision/management or 3+ years security experience.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing per state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and perform security procedures per site policies and emergency response when needed.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interiors, entrances, parking lots, and perimeters.
• Monitor and report unusual activity, policy violations, maintenance concerns, and hazards.
• Assist with visitor management and incident documentation per site requirements.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Thur: 12:30 PM - 08:30 PM
• Fri: 12:30 PM - 08:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a financial institution location.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the business, including interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, as assigned.
• Monitor and report unusual activity, policy violations, maintenance concerns, and potential hazards to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with visitor management, employee access procedures, and incident documentation in accordance with site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, or 2 or more years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
