Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Patrol Access Control in San Clemente, CA. In this full-time role, you will patrol, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and maintain a courteous, safe environment for employees and visitors at a utility location.

You will work day and night shifts on a schedule that includes multiple time blocks; a valid license, CPR/First Aid and background check are preferred, and prior access-control experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required/preferred.
• Background check and drug screen per policy.
• Licensing requirements as per state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and vendors while following site-specific security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and access concerns in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular patrols of facilities to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry, documenting observations and incidents.
• Assist with emergency response activities and evacuations as needed.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Access Control in San Clemente, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. You will provide courteous customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and support access control activities. What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of utility facilities, office areas, parking areas, perimeter boundaries, and restricted access points to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site-specific procedures, documenting observations, incidents, and unusual conditions.
• Assist with emergency response activities, including directing personnel and/or visitors during evacuations or other site emergencies as instructed.

Minimum Requirements

• A Guard Card or applicable license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
