Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facilities services provider in the United States, is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Access Control in San Clemente, CA. You will perform unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and deter incidents while delivering courteous service.

The role offers full-time mix shifts with pay at $23.69 per hour. Responsibilities include responding to incidents, coordinating with employees and visitors, and supporting emergency procedures.

Qualifications

• Guard Card or applicable license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating matters according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of utility facilities, office areas, parking areas, perimeter boundaries, and restricted access points to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site‑specific procedures, documenting observations, incidents, and unusual conditions.
• Assist with emergency response activities, including directing personnel and/or visitors during evacuations or other site emergencies as instructed.
